I had a colonoscopy..the staff was very professional and the procedure went well
We cannot speak highly enough of Christus. The pediatric unit took exceptional care of our son during what could have been a very frightening medical emergency. Every single medical professional including the surgeons, doctors, nurses, techs, child life specialists were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and thorough in their treatment of our son. We absolutely loved the nurses and they all felt like friends - very kind and supportive. Their approach was both gentle and thorough, which made all the difference for us. They treated our son kindness and respect and they kept us informed throughout our whole stay. The peds unit is very clean and is set up with a great playroom with all kinds of toys, games, and devices to keep the kids from getting too bored, a wonderful child life specialist who checks in on the children multiple times a day, as well as a kitchenette with drinks and snacks for the kids and parents. We were blown away by the fact that the compassion extended far beyond the medical team. Every single employee we interacted with, from the parking lot attendants to the information desk staff to housekeeping was incredibly kind, helpful, and genuine in their care for our family. If you ever find yourself in the difficult position of needing hospital care for your kiddo, the pediatric unit at Christus is exactly where you want to be. We are so grateful for the care we received.
