I’ve volunteered with Titus County Cares at both their monthly produce drops and their food pantry, and I’ve seen firsthand the care they have for our community. At the produce drops, they do not even know what food is arriving until the truck shows up just a couple of hours before distribution. Volunteers quickly unload, sort, and bag everything so families can receive fresh produce that same day. At the pantry, I’ve helped stock shelves and prepare bags, and every interaction is handled with dignity and kindness. Most people do not realize how much time and energy, mostly from volunteers, goes into making this possible. I am incredibly thankful Titus County has this resource.
