I am an adult student that has been playing cowboy chords for 30 years and never really progressed. On the recommendation of a talented guitarist coworker, I reached out to Steve with Wylie Guitar and expressed an interest in learning to improvise and music theory. Steve has been an outstanding mentor during my time with the school. I practice and study daily and meet with him once a week. He guides my study, assigns relevant songs and theory topics, answers my many questions, and gives valuable feedback on what I’m working on. Steve demonstrates and simplifies theory concepts for me and explains his personal thought process in improvising over chord progressions. Being a part of the school, I am afforded the opportunity to play in public. While terrifying, this has been of immense value to my development as a musician. I highly recommend Wylie Guitar Lessons for anyone interested in either learning an instrument or advancing in their musical journey.
Beyond his skills as both an excellent musician and teacher, Steve has become a critical partner in encouraging our son. Steve has become a dear friend to our family as older “sibling chauffeurs” couldn’t help but join in because of Steve’s enthusiasm and warmth!
I highly recommend guitar lessons here. Both my kids love it and they learn to play guitar within a short amount of time. Steve is very accommodating to the different music style for each kid. He doesn’t put pressure yet able to listen and motivate my kids without pressure. We have multiple recitals throughout the year and it’s so fun to watch.
Steve is awesome! My son has learned so much and he's an excellent teacher.
Both of my sons are in lessons with Guitar Lessons and they love it!!!! Steve, Courtney, and their staff are top notch and love our kids well. We would recommend lessons to anyone looking to get better on their instruments!!
