We started our daycare journey at BBMA Murphy & after just 6 months, the directors & all the educators feel like a part of my family. My son started attending at 18 months & it wasn’t the easiest transition for any of us but the directors and educators were so supportive, met my son exactly where he was at, and have helped him grow tremendously in the short time we’ve been here. Everyone is communicative & knows my son by name, even the teachers that have never had him in their class. They provide Spanish instruction 2x a week which is huge for us as a bilingual family & aside from the Spanish teacher, the other teachers & directors try to speak with him in Spanish as well (whenever they can), reinforcing what we’re doing at home. The classrooms & playgrounds are always prepped & clean considering there are kids constantly running through. I’m so grateful for this awesome team & school & would absolutely recommend it!

We've been with BBMA for a few years now (when it was originally Oak Brook School). The good: Every single staff member that I have interacted with have always been awesome. They treat my child well and I feel she is loved, safe, and well cared for at the school. The Pre-K and KJS teachers, Ms. Vera and Ms. Gigi, are amazing. As my child is getting ready to start Kindergarten in public school I feel she is VERY well prepared. They not only do a good job introducing them to things academically but they have handled social issues well and seem to teach the kids to treat each other well also. The director and management staff at this location have also always treated us kindly, respectfully, and I have always appreciated all of their efforts to do the right thing. The not so good: I'd say the jury is still out on this new ownership. Under the previous ownership I couldn't complain about anything. New ownership, they came in with the typical lines of "we're not going to change anything" and then, of course, everything changed. It was not painless for anybody involved as far as I could observe and I think it could have been handled much, much better. The school used to have a pool they used in summers (has been there forever) -- its gone. School used to be open until 6:30 (which was so helpful) and its now 6pm. Not a huge difference on the clock but noticeable to a lot of parents. Procare app sign-in used to be simpler -- not sure why they changed this but I used to be able to sign-in with one hand while carrying my kids stuff and walking her to her class. Now I have to stop an interact with a tablet. Such a simple quality of life thing that didn't make sense to take away. There have been policy changes and positions taken on things that, as a parent, just make you roll your eyes. Does the bad outweigh the good? Probably not. We stuck around. It may only be frustrating to an existing parent because I knew how great it was. Will it hurt things in the long term? Time will tell. If they can manage to keep the great staff and management team here and not run them off then I think I could still recommend the place. It's too bad the previous ownership sold it though. It definitely had a better "community" and family friendly feel before. There is more of a noticeable "corporate" feel now and that's too bad but it is what is it I guess. Luckily the management and staff have all seemed to stay in place and are all just as good as they have always been. As long as that remains true, I'd say this is a good place to be. tl; dr -- Love all of the staff and the on-site management. Been great for my kid. New ownership -- jury is still out but hopefully it's just been short-term transition pains. Probably still better than most of the alternatives around by far though.

We’ve had a wonderful experience thus far at Oak Brook School (Now Big Blue Marble Academy). The curriculum is engaging, and it’s clear the staff genuinely care for the kids. They have regular in-service training for the staff as well. The entire team—especially the admins Ms. Christine, Ms. Charmaine, and Ms. Amanda—knows every child by name and creates such a warm and welcoming environment. As a first-time parent, I was nervous leaving my son at just 4 months old, but the teachers made the transition so easy. I also love getting updates throughout the day through the Procare app. The staff is attentive, professional, and truly invested in the children’s growth and well-being. We plan to enroll him here through preschool (yes it is affordable). I highly recommend this daycare.

We had a wonderful experience at Oakbrook (now big blue marble academy). We sent our son there from 16 weeks up until he was almost 2. We were so sad to leave this great school behind in our move to North Carolina- and realized when searching for a new daycare just how WONDERFUL we had it at BBMA! The teachers and staff were always so kind to our son- we never worried about the quality of care and compassion our son was receiving at school. The facilities and activities are also amazing- there’s a real emphasis on learning and engaging with the children even from the youngest age. We are so grateful for our time at this wonderful school and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great daycare
