As a retail manager for 18 years, customer service is everything to me, so I definitely pay attention to how I am treated when I go places. Today, after a long day, I stopped by the McDonald’s on North Hills, and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly smile.There was a young lady at the front register I had not seen before, so I am guessing she may be new, but she truly stood out. She took my order with a genuine smile and did not seem irritated or overwhelmed at all, which you do not always see these days. She was just naturally kind and welcoming.While my kids were playing in the play area, she even brought our food out to us and asked if we needed any condiments. I told her I did not mind getting them myself, but she said, “No ma’am, that is my job,” and brought them anyway. That right there meant a lot.The whole staff was friendly, and the manager on duty, Samaya, hopefully I am spelling her name right, was also very pleasant. But I do want to highlight that cashier because she showed the kind of customer service and initiative that really stands out and makes a difference.It just felt really good to be around friendly faces and receive that level of service. It definitely did not go unnoticed.
