If you can rent elsewhere, I advise you to do so.These units are very cheap, and very small. I rented a so-called updated unit. The flooring was very cheap. The flooring started to buckle and crack after six months of us being there. Their solution was, I would have to pay to have my all my furniture from downstairs stored, and then they would come in and put in carpet. Please make sure to check your lease. I was charged and extra $30.00 a month for water in a 2 bedroom apartment. I had a 3 bedroom apartment. You will pay a lot out there. Besides your rent, you will pay for trash, water if you live in a 2 bedroom apartment, building wavier, your own renter's insurance, and now maintenance. The maintenance fee will come in if they have to come out and fix anything that was deemed your fault. When moving out you will get a cleaning list of what and how you should clean it. Don't clean when moving out. No matter how clean you leave it, you will still be charged a $50.00 cleaning fee. Also, no matter what inconvenience you had while leaving there, Tracy will find some way to take more from your deposit. I was told I had two broken interior doors. Tracey could not tell me what two doors, I never got the pictures of the doors she was speaking of, but she stated she was only charging me $150 for one. At best, the replacement they will get will be $50.00. Everything they use and/or replace in very cheap, I promise. Please spend your hard earned money elsewhere, if possible. As others have stated, Tracey's attitude and energy is very off putting. I guess she thinks she is working for the Housing Authority.
As other reviews suggest, these units are not worth $1,000+. The "renovated" units are far from what the pictures show. The renovations look and feel very cheap, likely something done in-house. For example, in my unit, the front porch steps are leaning, and the wood is badly rotted. Inside, parts of the floor are caved in. The kitchen floor is leaning, and the tile is already bubbling up. Under the carpet, you can tell the parts of the floor that's been patched up or holes underneath. The curtain rods in my closet seem to have just been tossed in the air & let land where they may. Not a single rod matches. Be sure to ask twice about the square footage, these units are very small for the price. The refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher are new, but very cheap. There's no washer and dryer, and no microwave in the unit. The 1.5 bathrooms are accurate, but honestly, if you're pregnant or on the larger side, you can forget about using the half toilet. The property managers are not pleasant to deal with either. You can be as kind as you want, but there's still an uneasy energy when dealing with them. They are not great communicators and not always upfront. In fact, the day I came to sign my lease, they had practically promised the unit to someone else. The other couple showed up at the same time. Makes me wonder what would've happened if I had arrived a few minutes later. In hindsight, I wish I had. I cannot wait for my lease to end. I regret the money I’m wasting here.
DO NOT TRY TO RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. I applied to rent an apartment, and after being approved I submitted my security deposit. Before they gave me an apartment or even quoted me on a unit, I found another place to live that was more affordable. I spoke with the property manager Tracy and asked how long I had to receive my security deposit back. she said that as long as I had the deposit request in before they issued me an apartment I would be able to get my deposit back. As of yesterday, I was notified by a “corporate“that they do not issue refunds for deposits that are past 48 hours. It’s listed as a refundable deposit on the website, but they refuse to refund it before I was even living in a unit. I will be following through with this and complaining to them as well. Don’t try and rent here unless you want to lose several hundred dollars in the process. UPDATE: Almost three weeks later, and I am being ignored. I have reached back out to the property “manager”. UPDATE 2: the management company refuses to acknowledge the mistakes that have been made. They are claiming I was “assigned” a unit and they held it for me. I never even received a QUOTE for a unit. How was I assigned a unit I didn’t even have a quote for the cost of? These people are THIEVES. Stay. Away.
I lived here before buying my house. The staff was awesome, quiet, no thugs, gunshots, violence, and very safe to live. The only problem i had was the scorpions. Great maintenance and great neighbors which consists of a lot of teachers cops military and employees from wtok
